Experience and Background

I am a lifelong resident of Alton, Illinois and am the daughter and granddaughter of entrepreneurs and run a small pet sitting business that I have been operating since 2012.

I am a graduate of Marquette High School in Alton, IL and graduated from Lewis and Clark Community College in 2006 with a degree in liberal arts and a focus in mass communication and public relations. Animals are a passion of mine as well and I previously served on the Board of Directors for SNIP Alliance as their Clinic Operations Advisor and Social Media Marketing Agent. My previous volunteer experience includes fundraising, promotions, and various community support programs.

I have served as the Vice President of the board of directors for Alton Main Street since January of 2018 and am the practice manager at the Spay and Neuter Clinic in Bethalto since it's reopening in March of 2015.

My passion for mass media and for the environment has led me to marketing for Illinois Solar Inc.; a residential and commercial solar company, also in Bethalto, IL. I have five Yorkshire Terriers that are my world. In my free time I enjoy exercising, yoga, gardening, crafting, cooking, and spending time with my pets and family

I plan to graduate from SIUE in 2020 with a degree in Integrative Studies focused on Mass Communication and Philosophy. I hope to continue my higher education and to earn my master's in public administration in 2021. After graduation I hope to work for a local municipality or nonprofit dealing with animals or small business owners.
